Quality Matters
I take pride in my work and care about getting the details right.
About Me
I’m a problem solver, builder, and lifelong learner who enjoys turning complicated ideas into practical solutions people can actually use.
I’ve spent my career helping businesses understand their data, improve how they work, and make better use of technology. I take the time to understand the people and challenges behind each business so I can build solutions that are clear, useful, and built around how the business actually operates.

My Background
I started the first 6 years of my career at PwC in data and technology consulting, where I had the opportunity to work with the top S&P 500 organizations across a range of industries.
My main value statement is that I reduce operating costs and make business processes more efficient. Sometimes that meant building a dashboard that finally made the numbers understandable; other times, it meant automating hours of repetitive work or cleaning up a broken process.
After years of doing this work for large companies, I wanted to bring the same level of care, structure, and problem solving to small and growing businesses. That is what led me to start Matthew Cornelison Consulting.
How I Work
I believe good work should be accurate, thoughtful, and built to last.
When someone trusts me with their business, I do not treat it like just another project. I take the time to understand how the business works, what matters most, and I approach their business with the same care and attention I would give my own.
I take pride in my work and care about getting the details right.
I validate the work, question the numbers, and make sure the final result can be relied on.
I communicate openly about progress, challenges, costs, and what I recommend.
I approach every client's business with the same care and responsibility I would give my own.
Personal
Family is a major part of my life and keeps me grounded in what matters most. I enjoy spending time with my wife, Kelsey, whether we are traveling somewhere new, exploring closer to home, or simply enjoying everyday life together.
The way I approach relationships in my personal life also shapes how I work. I value honesty, kindness, loyalty, and following through on what I say I am going to do.
For Fun
When I’m not working on a project, I’m usually spending time outside, competing at something, traveling with my wife, or learning something new.
Next Steps
You do not need to know exactly what the solution is before reaching out.
Sometimes the first step is simply talking through what is taking too much time, where things are falling through the cracks, or what you wish worked better. From there, we can figure out whether there is a practical way I can help.
